Explore the Joys & Challenges of Mothering

Pregnancy and early motherhood are full of excitement…and a ton of questions. Join parent educator, La Leche League trained peer counselor, doula, and mother of three Malik Turley for an informative and supportive look at the experience of becoming a mother.

Each week will begin with introductions and questions or issues moms would like to address, followed by a conversation around a specific topic of new motherhood such as sleep, feeding, and partner relationships. At the end of the 3-week session, Malik will provide moms with a handout summarizing the strategies discussed during the workshop. This group provides a safe, nurturing environment for expectant and new moms to discuss the joys and challenges of transitioning to this new roll. 

This workshop is appropriate for pregnant moms and new moms with babies up to three months old. Babies are welcome to attend.

Malik Turley

Malik’s work as a doula and parent educator has enabled her to find and live her passion – helping parents and children. Malik is a DONA trained doula, a founding member of Northeastern Illinois Doulas Association, a CAPPA trained Childbirth Educator, a La Leche League trained counselor. Read Malik's full bio here.

Cancellation Policy:

Full payment reserves your space. No refunds are given for cancellations. If you cancel more than 24 hours prior to the beginning of the workshop, your payment is applied to a studio credit that you can use for any Bloom Yoga Studio product or service. Studio credits expire one year from date of purchase. If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to the beginning of the workshop, you forfeit your payment. In the event that Bloom must cancel a workshop a full credit or refund will be issued.
