Lakefront Yoga in the Full Moon

with Joie Mucha

**WORKSHOP FULL**

Tuesday, July 7 from 7:45 - 9:15pm

$20 if registered by July 4, $25 thereafter

Enjoy your yoga practice basked in the light

of the full moon with the sounds of the lake lapping at the shore.

A full moon appears as an entire illuminated circle in the sky when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon. It represents plentitude, abundance, and generous blessings. The gravitational interaction between the Earth and the Moon cause periodic rises and falls of large bodies of water, or tides. Human beings are about 70% water; therefore, it is believed that the moon influences the mind and the sensations of every human. These influences parallel the energy of the breath cycle. The full moon energy corresponds to the end of inhalation when the force of prana is greatest. This is an expansive, upward moving force that makes us feel energetic, emotional, and more headstrong. Practicing yoga under the full moon is the perfect opportunity to invoke creativity, peace and wellbeing.

Run, bike, skate, or hitch a ride from the CTA to join Joie under the Full Thunder Moon (Native American name of the July full moon) at Lawernece Ave grassy spot for an all levels, hatha yoga class that will energize and revitalize. Let the sounds of the lake in the background bring a sense of peace and relaxation to your practice on and off the mat.

Just take Lawrence Avenue to the Lake.  We'll meet up north of Lawrence across the street from the playground, right by the lake.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

**Please note, you must be registered by 5pm on July 7 in order to participate in the workshop.**
