| Mike Jamlang
Mike's practice is based on the Buddhist principles of right action and right livelihood, namely to promote peace and reduce suffering. A graduate of the Chicago College of Healing Arts, Mike is well acquainted with both Western and Eastern modes of therapy. As a meditator, he is also aware of the mind's function in the process of healing. Mike mainly uses Swedish massage techniques in his sessions, but also incorporates different modes of healing in his sessions such as shiatsu, psychophysical therapy, and trigger point therapy. Having very active hands, Mike has also constructed handmade books and ceramics in college (where he received his B.A. in Japanese studies), made sushi in Japan (where he lived and taught English for 3 years), and created chocolate bonbons with a chocolatier located in Chicago (where he still works every Saturday). He is currently enrolled in the Structural Therapy program at his alma mater, so he may continue to grow as a diverse yet centered massage therapist.
