Learn Advanced Skills to Teach Restorative Yoga

Are your yoga students feeling overwhelmed and stressed out? Do they have difficulty sleeping? Do they leave class before savasana?

Sometimes traditional Western remedies for stress fall short of our expectations. Learning how to relax can support the healing process. Restorative yoga is a practice of conscious, supported relaxation that is quiet yet powerful. Incorporating restorative yoga into your life can also spark creativity and problem-solving, enhance focus, and fortify emotional wellbeing.

In this teacher training, you’ll learn advanced skills that apply to teaching restorative yoga classes, as well as incorporating restorative poses into an active yoga class. This training will explain the physiology and benefits of relaxation and will break down how to set up a variety of restorative yoga poses. You’ll learn how to modify poses for comfort, safety, and ease, while enhancing your observational skills. Become more proficient using props to promote deep states of relaxation.

This workshop is eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards. See YogaAlliance.org for more information. All hours are contact hours.
