After many beginnings Abby started a regular yoga practice in 2000 and knew after she held her first downward dog for more than 5 breaths that she would teach yoga. She follows the teachings of Rod Stryker's ParaYoga and has completed six of his nine tiers. She also studied with Suddha Wexler, Ana Forest, Duncan Wong, Seane Corne, Paul Grilley and Dharma Mittra. She teaches what could be described as soft vinyasa and incorporates pranayama, bandha, mudra, mantra, and meditation.
She also teaches pilates, water aerobics and spinning. Her interests include Argentine tango dancing, biking, knitting, reading and walking her min pin Lucky.
Abby finds yoga practice sustains her through trying and joyous times and her favorite yoga to practice is "with friends."
